Back to 2006, this year has been one of the most active ever seen in France. Not less than 700000 lighning strikes were recorded. The 3rd and 4th of july were memorable nights. "Météorage" announced 100000 lightning strikes between the 4th and 5th of July.
During those 2 nights, I was in the Alps, where I live. I went to some high spots in the mountains to enjoy the natural firework.
